I LOVE Saturdays off with the whole family and big breakfasts are top priority! Free-range eggs, pastured bacon, ice cold raw milk and you guessed it…pancakes!
I’ve been experimenting with a million grain-free recipes for me and the kiddos lately. They both show symptoms of gluten intolerance if I don’t properly soak the wheat or other grains beforehand….and let’s face it, who always has time for that? So I’ve made a few grain free pancake recipes lately but none of them seem to be *just right* for us. Consistency, taste….something was always off.
I have finally concocted the BEST recipe ever….and you and your family are definitely gonna love these!
Grain-Free Pancakes
Dry ingredients:
- 3/4 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup coconut flour
- 1/2 cup arrowroot flour or powder
- 1/2 tsp aluminum free baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
Wet ingredients:
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/4 cup raw milk – coconut milk can be used for dairy-free pancakes
- 3 tbs melted butter or coconut oil
Mix dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Dry wisk until there are no lumps. Add wet ingredients and wisk well until completely blended. Fry in pan with a pat of butter or coconut oil.
I serve these up our favorite way – topped with grass-fed butter and a huge glug of organic maple syrup. Happy Breakfast!

I was going to make these today but i need to find coconut flour. I have the almond flour. I also saw a recipe on my foodie FB page The Free Recipe Depot a few days back to make your own aluminum free baking powder so I”m going to give that a try. I believe the arrowroot is flour and cornstarch mixed together but I could be wrong, at least from what I read. I’m hoping to use what I have on hand. Big thanks for Karen from Lil Suburban Homestead for sharing this with me. We love pancakes and these look delicious. Mr.CBB
